My firsthand experience in language acquisition has profoundly shaped my own teaching philosophy of VCE English Language. Having worked with students since 2020, in both one-on-one and group settings, my goal is not only to assist students in achieving their academic objectives but also to evoke genuine passion for language that will be invaluable to their lives beyond the VCE English and English Language classroom. My own language learning journey has taken me from Venice to Shanghai, but it all began in my Year 7 Italian class. Deciphering previously meaningless sounds and symbols became an invigorating challenge. This passion propelled me through Melbourne Girls’ Grammar where I graduated with exceptional VCE results in 2018. At Monash University, I pursued my passion for language by specialising in Italian, Linguistics and Chinese. I partook in numerous overseas study programs, achieving consistent High Distinction marks. With both local and global experience, I am fascinated by how people all over the world are united by the common need to communicate through language. I have extensive experience investigating the intricacies of language and am enthusiastic in helping my students do the same.
